Strengthening Global Connections: IPSF Executive Committee Visits Kenyan Embassy in the Netherlands

In preparation for the highly anticipated 70th IPSF World Congress 2025, Mr. Silvanus Manyala, Chairperson of the Congress, led a delegation of the IPSF Executive Committee on a courtesy call to the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to the Netherlands. The delegation had the privilege of meeting with Ambassador Anthony Mayo Ngugi, Deputy Head of Mission, and key embassy officials, including Elizabeth Choge,  Chief State Counsel, Legal & Host Country Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This strategic meeting underscored Nairobi’s role as the host city for this landmark event, which will bring together approximately 400 pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences students and recent graduates from over 100 countries. Scheduled to take place from August 4–18, 2025, at the United States International University - Africa, this Congress is set to be the largest student-led event in IPSF's history.

Key Discussion Points

The discussions focused on critical areas that align with the Congress’s overarching theme, “Advancing Pharmacy Education and Practice for Global Health Impact”. These included:

  • Health Diplomacy: Strengthening international collaboration to address pressing global health challenges.
  • Youth Engagement: Promoting leadership and innovation among young pharmacy professionals at both national and international levels.
  • Future Collaborations: Exploring sustainable partnerships beyond the Congress to create long-term opportunities for young professionals.

The embassy reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Congress, offering its endorsement to ensure a seamless experience for all delegates.
