Navigating the Registration Process for the 70th IPSF World Congress: A Step-by-Step Guide

The journey to the 70th IPSF World Congress in Nairobi, Kenya, promises to be an unforgettable experience. To help ensure a smooth registration process, here’s a detailed guide highlighting key steps and requirements, including essential information for successful participation.

Step 1: Ticket Reservation

  • Visit the official World Congress website and select the event.
  • Click on the “Reservation” button and choose the appropriate ticket(s) for the event (LiT, Main Congress, and/or PCT).
  • Click the "Register" button and complete the attendee registration form then click “Confirm Registration” to submit once you have confirmed accuracy in your details.
  • Within 24 hours, you will receive an automated Acknowledgment Email from the Registration & Accreditation Coordinator.

This acknowledgment may request you to provide essential documentation, such as:

  • Membership Confirmation Letter (you will get this from the Contact Person of your MO)
  • Scanned identification documents (passport for internationals or national ID card for Kenyans)

Step 2: Registration Confirmation

  • After verification, you will receive a Registration Confirmation Email from the Registration and Accreditation Officer within 72 hours.
  • This email will be sent at the end of each registration phase and may include your invoiced registration fee and important event participation details.
  • You might be required to reply with proof of payment (payment reference and scanned receipt) within a given timeline to complete your registration.

Step 3: Payment Confirmation

  • Upon receipt and verification of payment, you will receive a Payment Confirmation Email, officially completing your registration.

Clarification on Progressive Invoicing

To ensure accuracy and efficiency, invoicing will be done progressively at the end of each registration phase following detailed reviews and validation. For instance:

  • With the opening of LiT and PCT registrations for all in Phase 1B (Second Wave), registrants opting for multiple events (combo tickets) will be invoiced collectively at the end of Phase 1.
  • Similarly, those registering during Phases 2 and 3 will receive a consolidated invoice at the end of either phases.

Additional Requirements:

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

For international participants, obtaining an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) may be necessary before entering Kenya. Here's what you need to know:

  • Applications should be submitted via Kenya's official eTA website: www.etakenya.go.ke.
  • Submit applications at least two weeks before travel to allow for processing.
  • Required documents include:
    • A passport valid for at least six months
    • Accommodation booking confirmation (provided by the Reception Committee)
    • Details of your travel itinerary
    • Credit or debit card for payment

Note: Citizens of EAC Partner States are exempt from eTA requirements.
