Eligibility and Registration for the World Congress

The 70th IPSF World Congress is set to be an unforgettable gathering of pharmacy professionals, students, and recent graduates from across the globe. Scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, August 2025, this Congress will offer unique learning opportunities, cultural exchanges, and professional development activities.

To help you navigate the registration process, we’re clarifying key eligibility criteria and providing insights into the phased registration structure, including exclusive and open registration categories.

Eligibility for Participation

Participation in the Congress is open to the following categories:

1. Official Delegates (ODs): Nominated representatives from IPSF Member Organisations who participate in decision-making processes during the General Assembly.
2. Regular Delegates (RDs): Pharmacy and pharmaceutical science students, recent graduates, and other members of the IPSF community who wish to participate in Congress activities.
3. Alumni: Former IPSF members who meet specified eligibility criteria.
4. Observers: Friends of the Federation and other individuals invited to attend the General Assembly..

All participants must be members of subscribed IPSF MOs or have an approved individual membership. Contact the Contact Person of you MO to provide you with a signed membership confirmation letter. 

Registration Phases Explained

Phase 1 (First Wave) - Exclusive for ODs

• Opens: February 2, 2025, at 4:45 PM GMT+0
• Closes: February 14, 2025, at 8:59 PM GMT+0
• Quota: 100 slots available (first come, first served)

This wave is exclusively for Official Delegates (ODs). Each IPSF Member Organisation is allocated up to three OD slots. RDs are not eligible to register during this wave.

Phase 1 (Second Wave) - ODs and RDs

• Opens: February 16, 2025, at 3:59 AM GMT+0
• Closes: February 22, 2025, at 8:59 PM GMT+0
• Quota: 70 additional slots available (plus remaining slots from the First Wave)

In this wave, both ODs and RDs can register. Any unclaimed slots from the First Wave will be opened to both categories on a first-come, first-served basis.

Phase 2 - Open Registration for ODs and RDs

• Opens: March 2, 2025, at 3:59 AM GMT+0
• Closes: April 1, 2025, at 8:59 PM GMT+0
• Quota: 100 slots available (including remaining slots from Phase 1)

This phase allows continued registration for both ODs and RDs until the slot quota is reached.

Phase 3 - Last-Minute Registration

• Opens: April 21, 2025, at 3:59 AM GMT+0
• Closes: May 31, 2025, at 8:59 PM GMT+0
• Quota: No specific limit; registration remains open until maximum capacity is reached

This phase offers a final opportunity to register for the Congress, although fees are higher, and availability may be limited.

1. Ensure your membership status is verified with your IPSF Member Organisation through the Contact Person.
2. Complete the required registration form during the appropriate phase.
3. Be prepared to submit supporting documentation, including membership confirmation letters.
4. Secure payment within the specified timeline to confirm your registration.
